Device company acquires U.K.-based distributor Actamed

Arizant announced the purchase of the company's United Kingdom-based distributor, Actamed, Ltd., In 2002, the company, through its international subsidiary, acquired a 25% interest in the distributor and now has purchased the remaining 75%. Specific terms of the transaction have not been disclosed. "We've had a very successful relationship with Actamed for more than 10 years," said John Thomas, Arizant, Inc., president and CEO.
