LC column for separating protein samples for biomarker research introduced

Published in Healthcare Mergers, Acquisitions and Ventures Week, April 16th, 2005

Agilent Technologies Inc. (A) introduced a liquid chromatography (LC) column for the separation and desalting of complex protein samples.

The Agilent Macroporous Reversed-phase C18 (mRP-C18) High-Recovery Protein Fractionation and Desalting LC Column enables proteomics researchers to more efficiently detect and identify potential biomarkers in complex samples such as serum or plasma by providing high sample recovery (greater than 95%), resolution and reproducibility.

The mRP-C18 column provides up to 3 times more protein loading than conventional HPLC columns. Up to 380 micrograms of total protein mass can be loaded onto the 4.6 x 50 mm, reusable...
