Chlorthalidone is superior for heart failure prevention, independent of renal function

Neither amlodipine nor lisinopril is superior to chlorthalidone in preventing coronary heart disease, stroke, or combined cardiovascular disease, and chlorthalidone is superior to both for preventing heart failure, independent of level of renal function.
