New research, "Use of a vectored vaccine against infectious bursal disease of chickens in the face of high-titred maternally derived antibody," is the subject of a report. According to recent research published in the Journal of Comparative Pathology, "Interference by maternally derived antibody (MDA) is a major problem for the vaccination of young chickens against infectious bursal disease (IBD). The choice of the timing of vaccination and of the type (degree of attenuation) of modified-live vaccine (MLV) to use is often difficult."
