Court's Ruling Favors Chamilia Jewelry

A recent court ruling in a patent infringement suit is expected to greatly open the marketplace for Chamilia(TM), LLC, and provide retailers and consumers with more options for personalized jewelry.

In Pandora Jewelry, LLC v. Chamilia, LLC the United States District Court for the District of Maryland ruled that Chamilia's(TM) jewelry, which uses decorative locks that allow wearers to personalize their bracelets and necklaces while preventing the beads from bunching or sliding on the strand, does not infringe upon Pandora's patent. A ruling on the validity of Pandora's patent is still awaited from the court.
