Emotional Investment Pays Off in Dark Economic Times

Organizations must foster trust in the workplace to ward off a decline in productivity and a rise in the number of staff looking for new jobs.

New research from the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL(R)), a top-ranked, global nonprofit focused on leadership education and research, shows much higher levels of motivation and commitment in companies with high levels of trust among colleagues.

Workers are more likely to say they believe their company is doing well financially if they enjoy high levels of trust in the workplace, according to the CCL 'World Leadership Survey.' Employees who trust their colleagues and managers are also more likely to say...
