Associated Press Cites Mexico as Example of H1N1 Success

The Associated Press praised Mexico's response to the swine flu, or H1N1 outbreak, in a recent article.

The AP article praised the best practices of the Mexican government in the fields of public awareness, rapid diagnosis, treatment and quarantine, and frequent hand-washing and sanitation protocols.

The article noted "Mexico's most effective action -- one now emulated around the world -- was immediately telling its own citizens when the new virus was detected."

Mexico's response to the H1N1 virus was also praised by international public health officials.
