Study 1: Imaging vulnerable plaque by ultrasound is considered in a review of the latest developments.
According to the review from the United States, "Diagnostic techniques to identify vulnerable plaques are rapidly evolving. Intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) has the ability to detect and localize plaque as well as quantitate plaque burden."
