According to a study from Zagreb, Croatia, "Infective endocarditis during pregnancy is uncommon but very serious. A 31-year-old woman in the 36th week of second pregnancy was admitted to a hospital because of fever, weakness, chest pain, painful skin over her right leg and dyspnea." "Transthoracic echocardiography showed aortic valve vegetation and severe aortic regurgitation.
