Walgreens Offering Free Blood Pressure Testing at All Pharmacies and Take Care Clinics Throughout February for American Heart Month

2012 FEB 19 -- Prevention and early detection of today's leading diseases are the pillars of Walgreens Way to Well Commitment™, a health initiative that in February brings free blood pressure testing to all Walgreens (NYSE: WAG) (NASDAQ: WAG) pharmacies and Take Care Clinics nationwide, every day throughout the month.

More than 76 million U.S. adults have high blood pressure, according to the American Heart Association. High blood pressure is a contributor to heart disease, one of the nation's leading causes of death each year. Walgreens is offering free testing to encourage more people to "know their numbers."
