Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

Monitoring of TCR or immunoglobulin genes improves disease management

Following clonality of T cell receptors or immunoglobulin gene rearrangements provides rapid feedback so that pediatric acute lymphoblasic leukemia can be well managed.

According to a study from Germany, "Today, 80% of pediatric patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) can be cured. To reduce the rate of relapses, but also to limit treatment morbidity, risk-adapted treatment has been attempted after identifying the most specific prognostic factors.
