Researchers from Italy, Spain and the United States report details of new studies and findings in the area of lipids

Lipids data are the focus of recent research from Italy, Spain and the United States.

Study 1: LDL-cholesterol lowering or HDL-cholesterol raising for cardiovascular prevention is considered in a review of potential lessons from cholesterol turnover studies and others.

A recently published article from Italy notes, "A number of reports have indicated that both lowering low-density lipoprotein (LDL)-cholesterol and raising high-density lipoprotein (HDL)-cholesterol can result in significant cardiovascular benefit, both in terms of reduction of events and also, to a variable extent, of atheromatous lesions."
