Research from Kobe University, Medical Department yields new findings on azoospermia

According to recent research from Kobe, Japan, "To investigate the metabolic syndrome and sex hormones in patients with Klinefelter's syndrome (KFS), 46XY men with nonobstructive azoospermia (NOA), and an age-matched obstructive azoospermia (OA) group. We examined 60 patients with KFS, 60 46XY male patients with NOA, and 50 patients with OA."

"Height, weight, waist circumference, and blood pressure were examined. Fasting blood samples were analyzed for sex hormones, total cholesterol, high-density lipoprotein and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, triglycerides, and plasma glucose.
