Late Hepatitis Due to Pyrazinamide Carries Bad Prognosis

Subfulminant hepatitis occurring 15 days or more after the initiation of tuberculosis (TB) therapy including pyrazinamide has a bad prognosis and patients who exhibit this complication may require liver transplantation.

Isoniazid and pyrazinamide are well-known hepatotoxic drugs, often used in combination.
