Precore Mutants Prevail over Wild-Type HBV in HBeAg-Negative Carriers

Researchers from Japan suggested that in all hepatitis B e antigen (HBeAg)-negative hepatitis B virus (HBV) carriers, precore mutants prevail over wild-type HBV within several years following seroconversion.
