Chemical Entities/Vaccines To Be Filed Over Next Three Years

Over the next three years, SmithKline Beecham (SB) said it expects to seek more than 50 regulatory approvals for its pharmaceutical products, including submissions for 13 new chemical entities, 8 new vaccines, 12 new combination vaccines and 26 supplemental registrations for new uses and dosing methods for marketed products.

"Our product pipeline is strong and extremely promising," R&D Chairman George Poste told a group of financial analysts at SB's Research and Development [R&D] Review Meeting. "It has the scale, balance and quality to put SmithKline Beecham at the top of our industry."
