"Influence of HIV Infection on Interferon Treatment for Chronic Hepatitis C."

According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the 35th Interscience Conference on Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy, held September 17-20, 1995, in San Francisco, California, "Objective: the aim of this study is to evaluate the influence of seropositivity for HIV infection on the response of interferon therapy for chronic hepatitis C. Study Design: two arms were designed: A HCV+/HIV+ and B HCV+/HIV-. Seven patients were included in arm A. In arm B the patients were matched by risk factor for HCV, sex and age. Hepatitis C was defined by usual criteria. All enrolled patients had anti-HCV antibodies (ELISA)...
