According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the 3rd International Meeting on Hepatitis C Virus and Related Viruses, held August 30 - September 3, 1995, in Gold Coast, California, "Lymphotropic viruses such as Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) and human herpes virus-6 (HHV-6) have been proposed as causative agents of B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL). More recently, HCV, a hepatotropic and lymphotropic virus, has also been implicated. The aim of this study was to investigate the prevalence of HCV, EBV and HHV-6 infection and their potential relationship in a series of B-cell NHL pts.
