HBsAg Evaluation Feasible During Prenatal Check-Ups

Incorporating universal testing for hepatitis B surface antigen into routine prenatal laboratory tests is practical and effective, according to a report from The Netherlands.

The Dutch Study Group on Prevention of Neonatal Hepatitis report further notes that women who forego prenatal medical exams can be screened for hepatitis at delivery.
