SmithKline Beecham Biologicals executives briefing the press at the center's formal launch said the company was developing a treatment that would protect against six diseases in one and which the company considered one of its most exciting products. The six diseases are diptheria, tetanus, whooping cough, hepatitis B, haemophilus influenzae (which can produce meningitis in children), and polio.
