According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the 15th Annual Meeting of the American Society for Virology, held July 13-17, 1996, in Ontario, Canada, "A study on the possibility of transmission of live hepatitis A vaccine (H2-strain) from vaccination to contacts of nonvaccination shows that no seroconversion was found among 87 seronegative nonvaccinations, who had a close contact with their 141 vaccinated classmates, nor was it found among 101 seronegative children administered the vaccine orally.
