Are All Diseases Infectious?

The identification of more and more infectious agents linked to supposedly non-infectious diseases offers hope that vaccines could prevent a wider spectrum of diseases than previously thought possible, suggests Bennett Lorber of Temple University.

Lorber noted that while dramatic new diseases such as Ebola virus hemorrhagic fever capture headlines, a more fundamental change in our understanding of human/microorganism interactions is underway.
