HCV Genotype May Be Linked to HIV Progression

There appears to be an association between hepatitis C virus genotype and progression of HIV disease, according to a report from the United Kingdom.

Researcher Caroline A. Sabin and colleagues from London's Royal Free Hospital suggest that this association, if confirmed, could be critically important in the treatment and care of patients co-infected with HIV and hepatitis C virus (HCV).
