According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the 31st Annual Meeting of the European Association for the Study of the Liver, held August 25-29, 1996, in Geneva, Switzerland, "The host immune response have been suggested to play a role in HCV-infected livers. In order to explore the relationship between the phenotype of IHL and PBL and the levels of viremia and the histological hepatitis activity score, we performed three-colour fluorescence-activated cytometric analysis on 36 patients with CHC and 6 control subjects.
