The Children's Vaccine Initiative

The Children's Vaccine Initiative (CVI) was founded following the World Summit for Children in New York in 1990.

Its co-sponsors were the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the World Bank, the World Health Organization (WHO), and the Rockefeller Foundation. The CVI Secretariat is located in Geneva, Switzerland.

The annual CVI Meeting of Interested Parties in June brought together country representatives, co-sponsors, and other collaborators, including industry, to examine CVI activities during the year past and its plans for the year to come.
