The Denver G8 Summit Highlights Infectious Diseases

"The World Health Organization (WHO) welcomes the Denver Summit of the Eight final document emphasizing the need for 'more effective coordination of international responses to outbreaks' of communicable diseases and 'development of a global surveillance network, building upon existing national and regional surveillance systems,'" commented Dr. Hiroshi Nakajima, WHO Director-General.
