"Combined Simultaneous Hepatitis A and B Vaccination in a Young Male Population."

According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the Fifth International Conference on Travel Medicine, held March 24-27, 1997, in Geneva, Switzerland, "Hepatitis (Hep) A and B are endemic in developing countries, presenting health risks for travelers-particularly for persons in the military. A prospective study of tolerability and immunogenicity of a combined Hep A and B vaccine (SKB-RIT) was performed in 80 male volunteers who were in the military (mean age: 21.4 years ±4.2 {range: 18-34 years of age}). At months 0, 1, 2, and 12, a total of 720 ELISA Units of HAV, adsorbed onto 0.5 mg Al(OH) combined with 20 (mu)g of recombinant HbsAg were administered intramuscularly. No...
