CDC Addresses Occupational Health Issues at Conference

To answer concerns about worker safety and control of infectious diseases, especially in healthcare settings, the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology of New England (APIC-NE), has planned to sponsor a conference and trade show in Sturbridge, Massachusetts, on October 8, 1997.

The speakers from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) include Dr. William Atkinson, National Immunizations Program, and Betty Bolyard, Hospital Infections Program. Also speaking at the conference are Dr. Veronica Fraser, Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri, who plans to discuss the latest CDC recommendations for post-exposure management...
