The data come from the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS), established in 1991 by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
"Overall, the results of our analysis show that the reporting rates of total, serious, non-serious, and selected neurologic VAEs [vaccine adverse events] to VAERs has stayed stable or declined slightly," said CDC researcher Penina Haber.
