Country Star Says She's Cured of HCV

Naomi Judd used to sing, "tell me 'bout the good ol' days." These days she might be better served by a Carole King lyric - "these are the good ol' days".

Judd says it's nothing short of a miracle she is free of hepatitis C eight months after completing a one-year course of interferon therapy. And her doctors agree she seems to have beaten some pretty big odds.

The singer was forced to give up her career in 1990 after being diagnosed with hepatitis C virus, which she believes she contracted from a needlestick injury while working as a registered nurse.

She did not respond to an initial six-month course of interferon therapy...
