Murine Study Finds Mucosal Vaccine Useful for STDs

Mucosal immunization provided a high and long-lasting level of immunity from sexually transmitted viral infections of the female genital tract in murine studies from Canada.

"When we compared the intranasal (inl) and intraperitoneal (ip) routes of immunization, we found that mice immunized inl with AdgB8 maintained higher levels of protection against a lethal intravaginal herpes simplex virus-2 challenge," researchers W.
