FDA Says Side Effects from Hepatitis A Vaccine Minimal

More than six million doses of hepatitis A virus vaccine were given in the U.S. during the first two years following its approval, and a review shows that side effects have been minimal.

"This two-year safety review reveals few unexpected hepatitis A virus (HAV) vaccine-associated serious events, despite the use of at least six million vaccine doses in the United States, and it reaffirms the safety of the newly licensed HAV vaccines in the general population," Manette T.
