"Clinical Features and Diagnostic Peculiarities of Acute Cytomegalovirus Hepatitis."

According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the Falk Symposium, Diseases of the Liver and the Bile Ducts - New Aspects and Clinical Implications, held September 12-13, 1998, in Prague, Czech Republic, "Cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection is rare in adults. It was observed that CMV infection sometimes is accompanied by hepatitis. However, the clinical features and diagnostic peculiarities were not extensively described in medical literature. The aim of our research analysis was to establish clinical features and diagnostic peculiarities of CMV hepatitis. This report presents 5 case histories of acute hepatitis among adults.
