Hyperthermia Treatment Evaluated

First Circle Medical, Minneapolis, Minnesota, announced that its advanced clinical trials are underway at the Doctor's Hospital in New Boston, Texas, on a treatment which it believes will reduce HIV in persons with multiple-drug-resistant AIDS.

These Phase II trials evaluate the effectiveness against HIV of First Circle Medical's extracorporeal whole body hyperthermia (EWBH) treatment.

EWBH is a method of elevating a person's core body temperature. First Circle Medical believes its EWBH system may offer treatment for infectious diseases, such as AIDS and hepatitis C, and certain types of cancer.
