According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the conference entitles Acute Leukemias VIII: Prognostic Factors and Treatment Strategies, held February 27 - March 3, 1999, in Munster, Germany, "Hepatitis B in Russia isn't a rare infection and infants have not been vaccinated. The risk of exposure in immunocompromised hosts is 5-25 times higher than of healthy or somatic patients.
