According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the 33rd National Immunization Conference, held June 22-25, 1999, in Dallas, Texas, "Background: Current modes of delivering parenteral vaccines in developing countries contribute to unsafe injection practices. Objective(s): To estimate and compare the risks and economic costs (including hidden costs) of existing and new vaccine delivery technologies.
