P. Pontisso et al. presented their findings at the 10th International Symposium on Viral Hepatitis and Liver Disease, held in Atlanta, Georgia. Their study was titled "Upregulation of the HBV Binding Protein (HBV-BP) preS1 (21-27) Sequence."
"Experiments carried out with serum-derived HBV particles have demonstrated that HBV-BP is responsible for binding and internalization of HBV into human liver cells, underlining its potential biological role in HBV infection," commented Pontisso et....
