Elderly Recipients Have Shorter Long-Term Survival

Duke University researchers made that pronouncement based on evidence gathered from a study of older-aged patients who had received liver transplants at the University of Wisconsin in Madison.
In the past, age has been a primary consideration in determining a patient's eligibility to receive a donated organ. However, that is no longer true.
