Liver Function Tests Parallel Liver Appearance after Transplantation

Although chronic hepatitis C can be a problem for kidney transplant patients, analysis performed by researchers in Instanbul, Turkey, shows that more often than not liver tissue appearance in kidney transplant patients is consistent with liver function tests that fall within normal parameters.

Normal liver function tests in individuals who have received kidney transplants can eliminate the need for post-transplant liver biopsies in many instances.
