Individuals who have hepatitis B virus (HBV) or hepatitis C virus (HCV) are at an increased risk for developing hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). These patients, researchers say, are subject to experiencing HCC recurrence faster than patients with non-HCV or non-HBV HCC.
