Factors Predict Transplant Candidates At Risk For Alcoholic Recidivism

by Sonia Nichols, senior medical writer - Researchers at the University of Illinois have identified several psychosocial factors that can predict those most at risk for alcoholic recidivism among alcoholic cirrhosis patients hoping to become liver transplant candidates.

"We identified several predictive psychosocial factors of early alcholic recidivism in transplant candidates," J.F. Karman and colleagues, University of Illinois, said in Transplantation.
