"Recently, the use of HIV-1 specific non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NNRTIs), including nevirapine (NVP) and efavirenz (EFV), has been associated with severe hepatic injury," Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, Maryland researchers said in Hepatology.
