This could be good news to some patients with diagnoses of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) who have no desire to undergo surgery. TACE would provide some HCC patients a viable alternative to surgical resection, according to doctors who coauthored a recent study of HCC patients in Asia, where hepatitis-related cancer is prevalent.
