Embolization feasible for treating certain hepatocellular carcinoma patients

This could be good news to some patients with diagnoses of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) who have no desire to undergo surgery. TACE would provide some HCC patients a viable alternative to surgical resection, according to doctors who coauthored a recent study of HCC patients in Asia, where hepatitis-related cancer is prevalent.
The 2-year study involved 182 HCC patients with adequate liver function and who were deemed eligible for tumor surgery. Investigators...
