A team at Taipei Veterans General Hospital in Taiwan has explored the flow of digestion products through the gastrointestinal (GI) tract in people diagnosed with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), a liver cancer linked to viral hepatitis, alcohol consumption, and other causes. The team found delayed GI transit among individuals with HCC, according to a report in Journal of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
