Long-term response possible after transplant despite viral recurrence

by Sonia Nichols, senior medical writer - Liver transplant recipients can benefit in the long run from a combination of interferon and ribavirin therapies even if they experience hepatitis C virus (HCV) recurrence following transplantation.

Those findings, published in the journal Gut were reported by doctors at the Hotel-Dieu of Lyon, France.
