In non-HLA identical bone marrow transplant, T-cell incompatibility is high risk

In non-HLA identical, minimally T cell depleted pediatric bone marrow transplant, the T and not the NK cell incompatibility led to increased GVHD and death.

"Natural killer (NK) cell alloreactivity resulting from killer immunoglobulin-like receptor (KIR) ligand incompatibility improves outcomes in patients receiving extensively T cell-depleted bone marrow (BM) grafts," scientists writing in the British Journal of Haematology report.
