"Hemodialyzed patients are recognized as a group at increased risk of infection with hepatitis C virus (HCV). The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence and incidence of HCV infection among dialysis patients of the east-center part of Tunisia. Two hundred and seventy-six patients dialyzed until 2001 were recruited within seven hemodialysis units located in the cities of Sousse, Monastir and Mahdia," scientists in France report.
