According to published research from Japan, "recently, combined chemotherapy with 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) and interferon (IFN)-alpha has been reported to show marked effects in patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma. We investigated the genes associated with susceptibility to this combination therapy."
