According to recent research published in the journal Pathology International, "primary hepatic lymphoma is very rare, accounting for less than 0.4% of extranodal lymphomas. Furthermore, hepatic lymphoma, either primary or metastatic, is infrequently confirmed histopathologically in needle biopsy specimens. The aim of the current study is to assess the clinicopathological characteristics of primary hepatic lymphomas in Korea, which is an endemic area of chronic B viral hepatitis."
