Recent studies add new data to virology research

Investigators in the United States, Italy and France have published new virology data.

Study 1: Hepatitis delta virus antigen methylation guides localization and replication.

"Hepatitis delta virus (HDV) contains a circular RNA which encodes a single protein, hepatitis delta antigen (HDAg). HDAg exists in two forms, a small form (S-HDAg) and a large form (L-HDAg). S-HDAg can transactivate HDV RNA replication," scientists in the United States report.
